What’s the Dilly, Yo?

I discovered Darcie’s Heart and Home Stamps while perusing Instagram one day…they have the cutest stamps! I thought these pickles were a hoot and couldn’t wait to make a card for a friend…What’s the Dilly, Yo? Ha, funny.

Whats the Dilly YoI liked this little guy so much that I colored another and made a birthday card for my uncle. The pickles are secured to the card with an action wobbler so they wiggle.

Store Open

Finally! I’ve opened an Etsy store to sell my cards and creations. I hope you’ll check it out (and maybe even buy something).  You can go directly to my store by clicking on the My Etsy Store tab on the menu above or click on this link > WorksForStamps

I’ll be adding more items to my store weekly so be sure to check back often for the best selections. Most of my cards are one-of-a-kind creations so if you see something you like, grab it while you can.

Wish me luck!

Milk and Cookie Time

Today I’m sharing an idea I started with my twin 8-yr. old nieces last month.
Card kits!  They visited me in June and while they were here we played in my craft room and I showed them how to make cards. They had so much fun using my stuff and learning how to make cards. They loved it! They even said I was a very good teacher. 🙂  I asked them if they’d like me to mail them card kits and they excitedly said, “That would be wonderful”. Cute, huh?!  I’ll be sending out their second kit tomorrow…this is the card they’ll be making this month:

Milk & Cookies

Each month I put together a kit containing everything they’ll need to make a fun card.

Card Kit #2All the pieces and embellishments are packed into a clear envelope then it’s packaged in a 5″x7″ ziploc bag along with an envelope and step-by-step instructions. Because they don’t have stamps and ink I prepare all the stamped components for them. Sometimes there will be elements that they’ll have to color or paint. When they’re all finished, and if they followed the directions properly, they should end up with the card pictured.

I ask them to send me a picture of their completed cards.  This is the card that we made last month:

Koala Hugs

And here’s the card Natalie put together:

Natalies Card

I wish they lived closer to me so we could see each other and craft together more often but at least I can share some fun with them this way. I know they look forward to getting their packages each month and I enjoy seeing their completed projects.

See you next time!

It Ain’t Easy Being Green

Remember old Kermit the Frog used to sing that song? LOL

Well, it was easy making this card green which I made for the Color Throwdown Challenge #ctd454. The colors were green, tan and white – nice crisp summery colors.

Green Because 2

We just wrapped up Dare to Get Dirty Week at Splitcoaststampers. I have been stamping my little heart out over the past couple of weeks to get my samples completed for some of my co-hostess’s challenges. I can get back to a normal stamping pace now instead of cranking cards out like a maniac.

That’s all I got right now…hope you have a great week!
