Now I don’t need an excuse to hole up in my craftroom and make cards all day but at least I have an actual [holi]day and an entire stamping community to back me up today. Afterall, it IS World Cardmaking Day…it’s the Olympics of cardmaking! Come on, I have to make cards today. Even though it is a nice, sunny, warm Saturday not making cards today would be like not having turkey on Thanksgiving. Gasp!
Here are a couple of cards I just finished.
I created the background by blending three different colors (Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet) of Distress Oxide Inks. I spritzed with water then added a few drops of black ink. I drew and cut out the little ghosts and added a few die cut elements. The pink dots are the new Nuvo Glow Drops – they glow in the dark. So cool.
Well, I’m off to get some more cards made…I’ve got lots of ideas swirling around my crafty head. Until next time…
