Happy Monday!? Personally, I think that’s an oxymoron. Unless, of course, you’re on vacation and it happens to be Monday, or you don’t have to get up for work or be anywhere in particular. Then, I guess Monday would be like any other day. But for me, Monday is probably my least favorite day of the week. Sorry, Monday.
But, on a brighter note, Monday kicks off a week of new challenges. Over at Lawn Fawn they recently announced their new challenge blog, Lawn Fawnatics. March is Lawn Fawn’s birthday month so their first challenge has a birthday theme. I jumped in and created this little cutie…
I combined a couple of stamp sets to create this birthday shaker card. I used the little octopus from Lawn Fawn’s Critters of the Sea and the presents from Year Five. I also used the balloon and party hat from a Hero Arts set called Party Time. I did some masking to make it look like the octopus was holding the balloons and added the presents with some other shaker elements. The images were colored with Copic markers. I used Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid paper too…aren’t those colors just dreamy? Happy Birthday Lawn Fawn! And, many more!
