Frankenstein Valentine & Love

I am not a football fan so I have no interest in the Superbowl; although, Tom Brady does remind me of Frankenstein. However, that is not the reference of my title though. I came up with that to describe a card I made from scraps of old project pieces I had in my stash. It’s a combination of pieces I previously made for one thing or another but never used. It’s a Frankenstein Valentine!

Valentine Teresa

The background was created by spreading inked shaving cream through a stencil. The heart was stamped using Versamark then I sponged on color over it to reveal the words. I cut the heart out and adhered it to the back panel. I had this little MFT Pre Innocence girl already colored (with Copic markers) in my stash as well. I decided to use her because she’s wearing Valentine colors.

I’m entering this in Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge and SCS F4A363, both called for Valentine’s this week.

I managed to combine two other challenges with this second card.

Love Lips

This week’s Color Throwdown called for pink, red and chocolate brown. Mmmmm, yummy Valentine’s colors (or chocolate covered cherries in my mouth). I combined the color challenge with Freshly Made Sketches sketch #273. I used the required colors and die cut three little lips (Paper Smooches). The LOVE sentiment (Lawn Fawn) was die cut four times and glued together so it’s thicker. I stacked three hearts and inlaid it into the “O”. I used Avery Elle’s wonky stitched frame die to make finished edges.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time…
